Please contact your network administrator about using the 3Com DMI Agent software at your site. This user guide is in Microsoft Word 97 format, especially designed for both online viewing and print. If you do not have Microsoft Word 97, you can download and install the Microsoft Word 97 Viewer from: http:/www.microsoft.com/Office/office/000/viewers.htm >> To extract the 3Com DMI Agent user guide: 1. Double-click the 3ComDMI.EXE file. The file can be found under the 3Com DMI directory on the disk or CD, or in the directory into which you downloaded this file from the 3Com web site. 2. Select the first task "Copy the User Guide to your hard drive" and specify a directory into which the file will be expanded. By default, this directory is c:\3Com DMI. >> To best view this document: 1 Open it in Word 97, and from the View menu, select Online Layout. 2. From the Tools menu, select Options. 3. In the View tab, select Show/Drawings Window/Vertical scroll bar Window/Enlarge fonts less than: 7.5 4. Click OK. You can now view the document online. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
