#################################################### ### Installation Instructions for USB and PCMCIA ### #################################################### The following instructions assume that you are currently logged in as a root user and you are using Mac OS X 10.2.x or Mac OS X 10.1.x. Due to changes to Drivers and to Setup procedure, it is recommented to uninstall first the old drivers and the old application. Then run the new setup to install the current set of application/drivers. 1. The Driver and Utility package come with an integrated install shield. Run the setup for your driver by double-clicking it. 2. Select next, read the license and select "I Agree" if you agree with the terms of the license. Then select the destination volume that you want to install the driver and finally select install. The Driver will be installed in the usual path (/System/Library/Extensions/). 3. After restarting your macintosh run the setup for the WatlanX application following the same procedure as above. The WatlanX application will be installed at your Application Folder. 4. Plug in the device. If you are using Mac OS X 10.2.x you must see an alert telling you that "The program you are using needs to use a system file that may reduce the security of your computer". You can just click "Fix and Use" to properly load the driver. If you don't see this alert try to unplug and plug again your device. When you click the "Fix and Use" button an authentication dialog will appear. Enter root for the label "Name:" and the root password for the label "Password or phrase:". 5. From the dock (usually located at the bottom of your screen) click the System Preferences icon. From there select Network. 6. A dialog will appear telling you that a "New Port Detected". Here you will also see the name of this port(e.g en1 or en2 etc). Click the OK button and configure it as you like. Click the "Apply Now" button. 7. Double click the file WatlanX and use it to configure your wireless adapter.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
