INSTALLATION
####################################################################

Installation:
        Note: A flash utility must be used to program the BMC.
        Please use utility bmcfl16d.exe with the included bmcflsh.dat and 
        bmccfg.def for flashing in the DOS environment.  

        To install BMC firmware:

        1.Extract the files from a update package to a bootable diskette or 
          a bootable USB key.
           
                bmcfl16d.exe
                bmcflsh.dat
                bmccfg.def

        2. Boot the system to DOS with the diskette or USB key created in step 1.

        3. Run the bmcfl16d.exe program.

                The program will provide status prompts during the load,
                erase, and flash update process.  

        4. Verify that the program completes successfully and displays
           "Flash Completed.  Checking Revision Completed.".

        Use Dell Update Package for Microsoft(R) Windows(R)

        OR

        Use Dell Update Package for Red Hat(R) Linux

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
