Changes / Additions to WinDGS V4.01, LinkScope V1.01 & Installation Disk
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Updated Signal Strength / Signal Quality to better reflect 100%. Previous version used too low of a value as its initial
100% value. Done on both WinDGS and LinkScope.
2) Added abililty to specify a firmware filename on the command line, which then gets downloaded to the card.
3) Modified installation to create an association for .IMG files, so that when you double click on a .IMG file, WinDGS
is started and the .IMG file gets downloaded.
4) This installation includes an updated WinDGS.DLL file, which has the SetCardData() routine fix for 690/655 cards.
5) The Statistics page Reset button now works for 690/655 cards. See item 4.
6) Fixed System Parameter property page SSID display problem for short SSIDs. If you would specify an SSID shorter than
the default (zephyr or tsunami) for example "A", "Aephyr" would be displayed. Fixed for 3500/4500.

7) This version of WinDGS will only work with NDIS Driver V2.15 and newer! An error
message will be displayed stating this and WinDGS will exit if older than V2.15 driver
8) Improved Signal Quality algorithm for PC4800
9) Added WEP support for the PC4800 at 1 and 2 Mbps (and Authentication)
10) Removed Network Address from being saved to the Control Panel for all x500 cards
11) Made the default SSID NULL for PC3100, PC3500, PC4500, and PC4800
12) Changed Power Save Modes to one of CAM, Max PSP, or Fast PSP
13) Removed Use Max Power Savings as a separate item, since it is now via Max PSP for all
    x500 cards.
14) Changed "Node Name" to "Client Name" for all cards
15) Added ability to change Modulation for PC4800 via RF Network Parameter Page
16) Modified Help files for above changes

19) Left version number in About box as V4.04.xxx where xxx is the build number.
20) Now finds Driver Registry for ISA Non-PNP cards.
21) Also installs WEPKey utility.

Changes / Additions to WinDGS V4.05 & Installation Disk
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Added support for Generic ISA carrier cards.
2) Changed "Signal Quality" to "Beacons Received" on Status, Site Survey, and Linktest
pages for the 3100/3500, along with algorithm for calculating "Beacons Received".
3) Now use normalized RSSI from the radio, which uses calibrated power levels internally.
4) Added Link Speed to Status and Site Survey pages for PC2500, PC3100, PC3500, PC4500, and
   PC4800.

Changes / Additions to WinDGS V4.06 & Installation Disk

   PC4800.
2) Changed "Signal Quality" to "Beacons Received" in LinkScope for the PC3100 and PC3500.
3) Changed method of calculating Beacons Received to use RID FF68 instead of RID FF69.
4) For older firmware version, use non-normalized RSSI from the radio, since old firmware
doesn't provide normalized RSSI in the Status RID, and pages would display zero for
the Signal Strength for radios with firmware prior to V2.10.
5) Added Total Time Up to Statistics page for PC2500, PC3100, PC3500, PC4500, and PC4800.
This value does not get reset using the Reset button. Prior to this, resetting the
Statistics also caused the Up Time on the Status page to be reset. Now, only ejecting
the card or changing the firmware causes this value to reset.
6) Fixed Help button in PC4800 Statistics page. Clicking it now causes the help page to
   be displayed.

Changes / Additions to WinDGS V4.07 & Installation Disk
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Added "Active Mode" to Site Survey, which causes the firmware to send "Echo Test" packets
   to the currently associated Access Point (PC2500, PC3100, PC3500, PC4500, PC4800 only).

NOTE: THIS FEATURE REQUIRES NDIS V2.53 OR NEWER AND FIRMWARE V2.23.01 OR NEWER.
Active Mode is not selectable for NDIS versions prior to V2.53 nor radio firmware versions
   prior to V2.23.

2) Fixed Magic Packet Mode display for OFF and Broadcast/Multicast/Unicast modes. WinDGS is
unable to discern solely from the card which of these two modes the card is in. This is
only for PC3500s for NEC under WinNT.
3) Changed Fragment Threshold minimum value from 64 to 256 on the RF Network Properties Page
   per Doug Smith (PC2500, PC3100, PC3500, PC4500, PC4800 only).
4) Windows 2000 support for PC2500, PC3100, PC3500, PC4500, and PC4800 only.

Changes / Additions to WinDGS V4.08 & Installation Disk
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Added 40/128 bit WEP support to WEPKey for PC3100, PC3500, PC4500, and PC4800.
2) Added "Use Short Headers" to RF Network Parameter Page for PC4800 for Pluto radios.
3) Fixed blue screen bug when minimizing LinkScope under Windows NT and Windows 2000.
4) Allow WEP to be selected for 5.5 and 11 Mbps for 4800A radios.
5) Fixed parsing bug for Specified APs on Advanced Infrastructure Pages.

Changes / Additions to WinDGS V4.09 & Installation Disk
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Added fallback to "Beacons Received" instead of "Signal Quality" for 4800B (Pluto) radios.
2) Modified WEPKey to read the Status RID after disabling the MAC when writing WEP keys.
This works around a firmware bug that could cause selected WEP keys to disappear after
   re-starting the card (like re-flashing, or ejecting/inserting).
3) Added forcing of MAC disable before re-flashing. This works around a problem where on
some machines the card would not re-start into download mode correctly.
4) Added exiting of WEPKey when the card is ejected.
5) Fixed GPFs in WinDGS when exiting when card is ejected.
6) Removed Network Parameters page for PC2500, PC3100, PC3500, PC4500, and PC4800 per Bruce
Alexander and Rick Rebo. You aren't able to change the MAC address anymore.

Changes / Additions to WinDGS V4.10 & Installation Disk
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Added pre-pending of PreSID to SSID1 value that is saved to NDIS driver parameter area
for PC2500 radios. WinDGS configures the card correctly, but there is no seperate entry
for the PreSID in the NDIS control panel. Thus, it would cause the PreSID not to stick
if it was non-zero (a value of 2). Now, the SSID entered in the control panel MUST be
entered as all four bytes if you are using a PreSID of 2.
2) Removed NDIS Core Dump from the options menu. It was causing NT to hang.
3) Added ability to switch between Home and Work "profiles" for the PC4800, so that an
Enterprise user can use the PC4800 at home without losing (or having to change) the
   configuration.
4) Added Dell specific features: Dell Bitmaps, Dell Icon, Dell install script (Defaults
to "C:\Dell TrueMobile", without desktop icons)
5) Removed Core Dump (firmware) from the options menu.
6) Added IP address display to Status Bar, Status page, and made it the default IP address
for the Linktest (requires firmware 3.70 or newer). If older than 3.70, it uses the
   current display.

Changes / Additions to Aironet Client Utility V4.11 & Installation Disk
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Added ability to display Signal Strength in dBm. This is for 340 Series cards that have
the Intersil Prism II chipset (Pluto radios). The pages affected are Status, Site Survey,
   and Linktest.
2) Worked around problem in Win2K where a Cisco 340 series card would not be found if the
machine already had an Aironet 4800 installed. The driver would Open the first card found
in the registry, even if the card was not inserted in the machine.
3) Changed Registry lookup to look for "DriverDesc", since both Cisco and Aironet cards report
their "RadioName" as "PC4800". The "DriverDesc" is either "Cisco Systems 340 Series Wireless
LAN Adapter" or "PC4800 DS Wireless PCMCIA LAN Adapter", so the utilities can now tell them
   apart.
4) Added support for the 350 Series (Mercury radio - 100mW)
5) Changed Home Networking WEP support to add ability to disable WEP, and changed key length
   to 128 bits.
6) Fixed "OK" button problem when loading new firmware. The Enter key didn't work (the user
had to click the OK button)
7) Fixed a broken link in the ACU help file dealing with Mixed Cell support.
8) Updated README.TXT to reflect Cisco Tech support options.
9) Worked around OpenFirst() bug that would cause an infinite loop (causing all Cisco utilities
to hang under Win9x) if no PC4800/Series 340 card was inserted.
