Adaptec PERC firmware update packages may fail to update to version 2.8 and 2.7 in certain cases. It may not be possible to flash some ROMB controllers to version 2.8 firmware by using the operating-system specific Dell Update Packages. If this issue arises, the only solution is to reflash the ROMB via bootable floppy diskette. NOTE: If this issue is present, you will also be unable to back-flash to version 2.7 if you upgrade to 2.8. PERC update packages may fail if other activities, such as a consistency check or Background Initialization (BGI), are running on the controller. Ensure that such activities are not in progress before you run the update package.Download Driver Pack
