Use ActiveSync to back up your Pocket PC data. For additional information on backing up and restoring data, open ActiveSync on your computer and click Help on the menu bar.

Connect the AC adapter. Disable any power management modes and close all programs on the host computer.

To begin the Update:

When the contents of the update folder open, click on the file called "AximUpdate".

Special notice:

After completing the system update, the Data Backup Application on the Axim can be used to restore previous backup files from a previous operating system release.

However, there is a possibility some new features may be disabled.

Dell recommends to only backup PIM data from a previous system and restore to a new system.

All other applications should be re-installed again on the new system to make sure new features are not disabled.
