Insert the SMC EZ PCMCIA Adapter into a PCMCIA slot on your notebook. The system displays the "New Hardware Found" window, with "SMC-EZCard-10-PCMCIA" as the device name. 2. Select "Drivers from disk provided by hardware manufacturer." 3. At the "Install From Disk" window, enter the drive letter and path where the device information file (.INF file) can be found (e.g. A:\). Press "OK". The system then installs the driver automatically. 4. If the system asks for files from the Windows 95 CD-ROM, please specify the location of it. Follow the prompt until the installation is complete. 5. Reboot the machine to start the network. Windows 95 OSR2 (Release 950 B) installation procedure: 1. Insert the PC card into a PCMCIA slot. Wait for the "New Hardware Found" window to appear, with "SMC-EZCard-10-PCMCIA" displayed as the device name. 2. The "Update Device Driver Wizard" window appears, with the message "This wizard will complete the installation of: SMC-EZCard-10-PCMCIA." Click the "Next>" button. 3. Windows 95 then asks for the location of the driver. Click on "Other Locations." The "Select Other Location" dialog box appears. Enter "A:\" and click OK. 4. The "Update Device Driver Wizard" window shows up again, with the message "Windows found the following updated driver for the device: SMC EZ PCMCIA Adapter." Click the "Finish" button. 5. Windows 95 asks for the location of the SMC8022.INF file. Enter "A:\" in the dialog box, and click OK. 6. The system starts to copy the driver files from the driver diskette to system directories on the hard disk. If the system asks for files from the Windows 95 CD-ROM, please specify the location of it. Follow the prompt until the installation is complete. 7. In Control Panel, select the Network icon. If the desired clients (e.g. Client for Microsoft Networks) are not installed, please install them. 8. Shutdown and restart Windows 95 to take effect the change. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
