If you do not have the Windows CD-ROM, you may be able to set up the driver by specifying "C:\Windows\Options\Cabs" or "C:\Windows\System" ("C: Windows": the directory where the Windows is installed) as the "copy from"input box. If you do, a white sheet of paper will be printed after the computer is restarted. - If you cannot make printing with the lack-of-memory message or a white sheet of paper is printed, restart the computer and try printing again. You may be able to make printing depending on the application software or the computer. If you cannot still make printing, check the following: - Applications being started or active in the system may consume much memory, causing the printer driver in lack in memory. - The setting of virtual memory volume making up for the installed memory may be too small. - The hard disk free space to spool the print data may be too small. (50 M or larger free disk space is necessary.) - When you use the paint software supplied with Windows, printing may not be done properly. If this occurs, adjust the image size within 2,488 dots x 1,664 dots and use anther imaging software to print it. - To use an imaging software for printing, we recommend to make the following settings: "File"-->"Print"-->"Options"-->"Fit to page" - Make sure to select "enables bi-directional support". If you do not select this option, an error may not be detected and you may not be able to print correctly. This option is automatically selected during installation. If this option is cleared for some reason, you can enable the option with the following procedures: - On Windows 98/98SE/Me Open "Printers", click "Sony DPP-EX5" or "Sony DPP-EX7" with right mouse button and select "Properties". Click the "Spool Settings" button in the "Details" tab.
