DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED

  1. Click Start, then click Control Panel. 
  2. Click System and Maintenance.
  3. Click System. From the left pane, click Device Manager.
  4. Click Modems. 
  5. Double-click Intel(R) PRO Wireless.
  6. Click the Driver tab.  The driver version will be displayed.

NOTES

1. If you use ThinkVantage Access Connections, the following software
   must be installed.
   - ThinkVantage Access Connections
       version 4.40 or higher
   and
   - Lenovo System Interface Driver for Windows Vista
       version 1.00.0702 or higher
   - Power Management Driver for Windows Vista/XP/2000/ME/98 SE

       version 1.42 or higher
   - Hotkey Features for Windows Vista/XP/2000

     version 2.01.0703 or higher

2. You may need to re-enter security information after updating the
   Wireless LAN driver.

3. Before installing this software, you should install Windows Vista
   fix module KB932063. The detail information and how to obtain the
   KB932063 module is located in the following Microsoft's site.

   To verify if the KB932063 module is installed properly,
   1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
   2. Find 'Programs and Features' and click. If this option does not
      exist on the window, choose Classic View to find it.
   3. On 'Tasks' pane, click on "View installed updates".
   4. Verify that KB932063 is included in the list of installed
      updates.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to
  update the software. To determine if you should update the software,
  refer to the Version Information section.
- Before installing this software, you should install Windows Vista
  fix module KB932063. Refer to the item 3 of NOTES section for the
  detail information.


Manual Install

  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
  3. Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then 
     click Run...
  4. Specify C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLANINT2\Vista\Apps\iSetup.EXE and
     click OK.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  6. Click Finish to reboot the system to complete the installation.


Unattended Install

  This is for system administrators' use only.

  - Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the
    files.
  - At the command line, execute iSetup.EXE with the /QI option.
    (For example)
    C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLANINT2\Vista\Apps\iSetup.EXE /QI

  7. Click OK and follow the instructions on the screen.

How To Update Drivers Manually

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
