The IBM drivers extract to C:\Drivers\Win 1. Install chipset driver first. First install may give error at end of install. You may install it a 2nd time without error. 2. Restart Notebook 3. Install UAA driver for HD audio (requires XP SP2) Driver on IBM site only works for XP SP1. 4. Restart Notebook 5. Install Audio driver 6. Restart Notebook 7. Install Modem driver 8. Install video driver 9. Install NIC driver = Ethernet 10. Install WLAN driver = Network controller 11. Install IBM Power management driver 12. Install Amtel Power management driver (not found on IBM driver site) 13. Restart Notebook 14. Remove faulty duplicate device in system devices in device manager. 15. Delete Temp folder created by Amtel driver.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
