Configuring MICROSOFT WINDOWS NT 3.5 Video Miniport Driver for All Trident Microsystem Chip Set Install Trident miniport driver: 1. Boot to Windows NT with [VGA Mode] option (standard VGA driver). 2. Go to a DOS Window. 3. Go to the drive (A:) or directory where the NT35 driver files are located. 4. Type "NTINSTL C:\WINNT35" and press ENTER assuming that Windows NT is installed in the C:\WINNT35 directory. What this does is it copies the file TRIDENT.SYS to the C:\WINNT35\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ directory. If you are using a different name for your Windows NT directory, specify that name instead. 5. Double click on the group MAIN in the program manager. Double click the CONTROL PANEL icon. Double click the DISPLAY icon. 6. Click on CHANGE DISPLAY TYPE. 7. Click on CHANGE. 8. Select "Trident Compatible Graphics Adapter" from the list. 9. Click INSTALL. 10. Click CURRENT when you see the message "The driver(s) for this display are already on your system. Do you want to use the currently install driver(s) or install new one(s)." 11. Click RESTART NOW for the drivers to take effect. Select Display Resolution and color: 1. Boot to Windows NT (do not use [VGA Mode] option). 2. Double click on the group MAIN in the program manager. Double click on the Control Panel icon. Double click the Display icon. 3. Select the resolution and color of your choice. 4. Click on OK 5. Click on RESTART NOW to restart Windows NT.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
