Installing the software containing the driver
==================================================
	Install the software containing the driver for the Windows 98
	in the supplied Floppy disk as follows.

	1) Finish the installation following the instructions that appear on
	   your screen before connecting the camera.
	2) If you connect to the camera, the camera driver is installed
	   automatically.
	3) Make sure that the [Panasonic Pccam] under [Imaging Device] is
	   added in [Device Manager]. In case of not adding, install again
	   it.


Installing again the software containing the driver
==================================================
	If the camera does not work properly, or if you restore
	the parameters of it to the factory default settings while you use
	it, install again the software containing the driver as follows.

	1) Finish the installation following the instructions that appear on
	   your screen before connecting the camera.
	2) Click [Device Manager] tab, refer to [Imaging device].
	3) Connect the camera.
	4) Make sure that the camera driver is added in [Imaging Device].
	5) Click the camera driver, and click the [Property] tab.
	6) Click [Update] of the camera driver.
	7) Click [Make a list of all drivers in specified folder, choose
	   the driver soft for installation.]
	8) Click [Panasonic Pccam].
	9) Make sure that the driver soft is installed into
	   [C:/Windows/INF/other/CORECAMA].
	10) Click [Next], install the driver soft.


Uninstalling the software containing the driver
==================================================
When you do not use the camera, remove the driver soft from your hard
disk.

	1) Click the [Start] menu, and click
	   [Program/Panasonic Pccam/uninstall].



Operating the Panasonic PC Camera DEMO Application
==================================================
This Panasonic PC Camera DEMO Application is provided by Microsoft Corp.
for the purpose of displaying and checking the video image on PC.
Reminded that this Panasonic PC Camera DEMO Application is not guaranteed
for all the PC.

Set the operating of the camera by use the DEMO Application.

	1) Click [Start] menu, and click [/Program/Panasonic Pccam/amcap].
	2) Click [Devices] menu, and click [/Panasonic Pccam].
	3) Click [Option] menu, and click [Preview].
	4) Click [Option] menu, and click [Video Capture Filter]. Then,
	   the dialog box that adjust the parameters of picture appears as
	   follows.

	Saturation		: Adjusts the Density of colors
	Contrast		: Adjusts the Contrast
	Sharpness		: Adjusts the degree of emphasis of the
				  picture
	Gamma			: Adjusts the Gamma curve
	220 VAC(50Hz)..ON/OFF	: Flickerless mode ON/OFF, Dialog ON,
				  Dialog OFF
	White Balance Auto...ON/OFF
				: Automatic White Balance control ON/OFF
				  Dialog ON, Dialog OFF (Mode of the
				  default setting)
	LightSource {Office, Home, Outdoor (Multi-purpose)}
				: Adjusts White Balance by the LightSource
	Red Hue (only for Auto off)	: Adjusts White Balance of Red
	Green Hue (only for Auto off)	: Adjusts White Balance of Green
	Blue Hue (only for Auto off)	: Adjusts White Balance of Blue
	Exposure
		Auto...ON/OFF	: Automatic Electrical Shutter Control ON/OFF
				  Dialog ON, Dialog OFF
		Brightness	: Adjusts Brightness of the whole screen
	Default

	5) Click [Option] menu, and click [Video Capture Pin]. Then, the
	   dialog box that adjust the parameters of picture appears as
	   follows.

	Frame Rate (7.5~30fps)	: 30 fps (160x120~320x240), or 12.5 (640x480)
				  is recommended Color Space (RGB24, IYUV,
				  JPGL)
				: RGB 24 is recommended
	Output Size		: 320x240 (default), 160x120, 176x144,
				  352x288, or 640x480 is recommended

	6) Save the picture in a [AVI] file.

	Set Capture File...Specifies File Name
	Allocate File Space...Allocate File Size
	Save Captured Video As... Specifies File in a Folder for save
	Start Capture...Start Capture the picture
	Stop Capture...Stop Capture the picture

	7) Click the Close-box, Click [Finish].

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
