        32-bit CardBus 10/100 Ethernet NDIS2 Drivers
      Installation for Microsoft LAN Manager 2.x for DOS
     ====================================================

The 32-bit CradBus 10/100 Ethernet driver files for MS LAN
Manager contained in this directory are as follows:

DRIVER LOCATION : DRIVERS\ETHERNET\CB8139\CB8139.DOS
                  DRIVERS\ETHERNET\CB8139\PROTOCOL.INI
                  DRIVERS\NIF\CB8139.NIF

For more information about setting up the networking system
and the driver, please see you MS LAN Manager Installation
and Configuration Guide.

Please also refer to the \NDIS\README.TXT file for the
optional keywords defined for CB8139.DOS and to be specified
in PROTOCOL.INI.


Installation procedure:
-------------------------

1. MS LAN Manager provides a SETUP.EXE program on the Setup
   disk. Execute this SETUP program to specify the proper
   driver.

    - If you are installing LAN Manager for the first time,
    run  the SETUP program to install LAN Manager.  Near the
    end of the installation, you will be asked select
    available network  adapter drivers.  Please select
    "Other Driver" button.

    - If you have already installed LAN Manager, run the
    SETUP program, and go to "Configuration => Network
    Drivers => Add New  Config => Other Drivers" button.

2. Insert this diskette into drive A and set the new path as
   A:\, The SETUP program will copy the necessary NDIS
   driver programs to your \MSLANMAN.DOS directory.

3. After completion of the SETUP, it will modify your
   CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT and PROTOCOL.INI files.

4. After completion of the SETUP, you should modify the
   PROTOCOL.INI file to specify the Interrupt and IOBase
   parameters which must not be conflict with other devices.

5. Reboot your computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
