EMDIAG Diagnostics
----------------------------------------

The eMASTER+ Diagnostics Program runs with MS-DOS version
3.3 or later. Before running the eMASTER+ Diagnostics
Program, make sure no network drivers are running in the
system. EMDIAG will not run reliably from within a Windows
  DOS box.

From the Main Menu of EMDIAG, you can make one of the
  following selections:

Configuration Status Reports the resources in use by
                          the eMASTER+ PCI adapter. This
                          option is useful for determining
                          if your adapter is recognized
your system. If the adapter is
not found in your system, the
                          following messages might appear,
and can be resolved as follows:

   Diagnostics Contains options for Local,
                          Remote and Echo Server. These
                          options provide the ability to
                          run both local and remote
diagnostics, and to set up the
eMASTER+ adapter for use as an
                          Echo Server. For a full
                          explanation of this option, see
                          your eMASTER+ manual.

EMDIAG Startup Options
----------------------------------------

EMDIAG includes some startup parameters to help you get
the most out of this utility. These startup parameters are
described below, and can be viewed on-screen by typing
"EMDIAG /?" followed by an <ENTER>.

/t:<value> Runs the `transmit' test in local
                       and remote diagnostics <value> *
                       thousand times.

/v:<value> For the EM110 TX and EM110 TX Combo
                       adapters, selects the adapter speed,
where <value> should be set to `10'
for 10 Mbps and `100' for 100 Mbps.

/c:<value> Runs diagnostics on a specific PCI
device, where the eMASTER+ device to
be diagnosed is determined by the
number entered in place of <value>.
To determine the PCI device number
                       for specific eMASTER+ adapters,
first run EMDIAG with no additional
                       parameters, and select `PCI Device
                       Information.' The first column under
                       the `PCI Device Information' display
contains the PCI Device ID for each
                       of the installed PCI devices.

/x:<string> Allows the selection of a particular
transceiver to be diagnosed on the
                       eMASTER+ adapter. The possible
values for <string> are `thin' and
                       `utp.'

/BNC or /THIN Configures EMDIAG to test a Combo
                       adapter's BNC port.

EMDIAG Error Messages
----------------------------------------

In addition to the information described above, EMDIAG
provides the following text messages to help you setup up
and configure your eMASTER+ PCI adapter.

slot slot for which bus mastering has not
                       been activated. To resolve this
problem, move the adapter to another
slot, or activate bus mastering in
that slot via your system's BIOS

To resolve this issue, assign a
