A. Windows 95/98 Drivers Installation Procedures
   ----------------------------------------------

1.  Start Microsoft Windows 95/98.

2.  From the Start menu on the Taskbar, point to Settings, then click Control
    Panel.

3.  Double-click the Display icon, then select the Settings tab.

4.  Click the Advanced button, select the Adapter tab, and click the Change
    button, then click Next.  

5.  Select "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you
    can select the driver you want", then click Next.

6.  Click the Have Disk button.  Microsoft Windows will prompt you for the
    correct path where the video driver is located.

7.  Type in X:\Win9x\ in the dialog box, then click OK.  Note: X is where your
    CD-ROM drive is located.

8.  Select an appropriate device or model in the Select Device Wizard (For
    example, NVIDIA Vanta), click OK, then click the Next button. 

9.  Click Finish to complete the installation.

10. Close the Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA) Properties dialog box.

11. Close the Display Properties dialog box.

12. Click the Yes button. Eject the floppy disk(s) in the disk drive before
    restarting the computer to have all new settings to take effect.



B. Windows NT 4.0 Drivers Installation Procedures
   -----------------------------------------------

These drivers must be installed by a user with Windows NT Administrator
privileges.  Consult your system administrator or Microsoft Windows NT 
User's Manual for more information on Administrator privileges.

Note: Prior to the display driver installation, Service Pack3 (or higher)
      setup is mandatory.

 
1.  Start Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.

2.  From the Start menu on the Taskbar, point to Settings, then click Control
    Panel.

3.  Double-click Display icon, then select the Settings tab.

4.  Click Display Type button, then click Change.

5.  Click the Have Disk button.  Microsoft Windows will prompt you for the
    correct path where the video driver is located.

6.  Type in X:\NT40\ in the dialog box, then cklick OK.  Note: X is the
    CD-ROM drive is located.

7.  Select an appropriate device or model in the Select Device Wizard (For
    example, NVIDIA Vanta), then click OK.

8.  Click Yes when Windows NT informs you that you are installing a third
    party driver and asks if you wish to proceed Windows NT copies the files
    to the hard disk.

9.  Click the OK button.

10. Close Display Type dialog box.

11. Close Display Content dialog box.

12. Click Yes when Windows NT asks if you wish to to restart the computer. 



C. Windows 2000 Drivers Installation Procedures
   ---------------------------------------------

These driver must be installed by a user with Windows NT Administrator
privileges. Please consult your system administrator or Microsoft
Windows 2000 User's Manual for more information on Administrator
privileges.


1.  Start Microsoft Windows 2000.

2.  From the Start menu on the Taskbar, point to Settings, then click Control
    Panel.

3.  Double-click Display icon, then select the Settings tab.

4.  Click the Advanced button, select the Adapter tab.

5.  Click the Properties button, select the Driver tab.

6.  Click the Update Driver button, then click Next.
 
7.  Select "Display a list of the known drivers for this device so
    that I can choose a specific driver", then click Next.

8.  Click the Have Disk button.  Microsoft Windows will prompt you for the 
    correct path where the video driver is located.

9.  Type in X:\Win2K\ in the dialog box, then click OK.  Note: X is where your
    CD-ROM drive is located.

10. Select an appropriate device from the model list (For example, NVIDIA
    Vanta), then click the Next button.

11. Click Next in Upgrade Device Driver Wizard.

12. Click Yes to continue driver installation when onscreen message "Digital 
    Signature Not Found." appears.

13. Click Finish in Completing the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard setup.

14. Close the NVIDIA XXXX Properties Wizard.

15. Click the Yes button.  Eject the floppy disk(s) in the disk drive before
    restarting the computer to have all new settings to take effect.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
