1. Start your windows 2000 or XP Computer 2. Plugin your Mustek 600 USB 3. When prompted for new Hardware found just click next next next until your finished Then you will see the following "The installation was not successful, an error was found during installation of the driver for this hardware.! 4. Now open your Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Device Manager 5. You will now see your new hardware with a yellow icon 6. Right click on the unit and choose "Properties" 7. Go to "Driver" section and choose "Update Driver" 8. choose "Search for a suitable driver for my device", "Specify a location" 9. Choose where you unpacked this .zip file!!!! 10. you will now find 2 options of installing this Hardware. In the bottom of the window you will see something saying "Choose other driver than recommended"! 11. Click on the driver which displays the location of where you unpacked this file! 12. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
