audio inf.txt Driver File Contents (cs4281-9xme2kxp.exe)

The attached WDM style driver should work with the following Windows os's:
Win98SE, WinME, Win2k and XP.

Support Statement:
Cirrus Logic produces the controller chips that are used on
add-in boards and motherboards made by retail manufacturers.
These manufacturers customize the hardware and software to meet
their own needs. Primary user support should come from the
manufacturer.

Windows XP shipped with driver support for the Cirrus Logic Crystal
part number 4281. However, we are a semiconductor company and that
driver is a generic Microsoft driver based on a reference design.

This driver has been tested with XP and our reference design.
It has not been certified for WinXP.

If the driver in the box does not work with your audio design, you
should contact the manufacturer of the add-in card, or PC
manufacturer who provided the audio subsystem for drivers and support.

NOTE: Laptop designs are much different than our generic reference
design and the drivers are customized. The attached driver may not
support all of the features of your notebook including: hotkeys,
docking and power management events.

If you purchased an Intel motherboard that uses a Crystal chipset,
and need driver or installation help, call Intel Tech Support at

1-800-628-8686.
