Before inserting the card into your system boot Windows 95. ******************************************************************* If the adapter was inserted in the system and Windows 95 was booted after the DE450 adapter was installed in the system, please do the following: - From within Windows 95 double click on "My Computer", followed by "Control Panel", then "Network". - Under the heading "The following network components are installed", check to see if there is a line which says "PCI Fast Ethernet DECChip 21041 based adapter." If this line exist, click on it and then click on "Remove". - Select "OK" to exit from the network setup window. - Proceed with steps 2 through 8. ******************************************************************* 2. Insert this driver disk into the floppy drive. From the "Start" menu of Windows 95 select "Run". Next to where it "Open:" appears in the dialog box, type "A:\SETUP". Click on "OK" and the EZWORKS installation program will start. 3. Under "Select a Network Operating System" click on the "Windows 95" line. 4. Click on the "Install" button in order to copy all the necessary files onto the system. 5. Exit EZWORKS by clicking on "File" in the menu bar and then "Exit". 6. Shutdown Windows 95 and power off the computer. 7. Insert the network adapter into the system and connect the network cable to it. 8. Power the system back on and boot Windows 95. Windows 95 will automatically detect the card and start the drivers. Follow any instructions that Windows 95 displays to complete the installation process. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
