Installation Instructions
-------------------------
NOTES:
- To determine if you should update the utility programs, refer to the
  "Summary of Changes" section of each small package.
- ThinkPad Software Installer provides install/uninstall wizard for this package.
- Under Windows 95, Internet Explorer version 4 or higher must be
  installed.

INSTALL:
 1. Start Windows 95/98/98 SE/Me/2000/XP. For Windows 2000/XP, logon with
    a User ID of Administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. Type [Program Path]\SETUP, and click OK.
    Program Path is the full path name where you extracted the package
    in the step 2, and click OK.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

NOTE: 
*1  From Version A-1.30, package structure was re-organized.
    If you already installed "Utility package" for each operating system,
    please uninstall it first before you install this package.
    Then you need to install the following packages too.

    ThinkPad 5xx/i-1157 :
    - IBM ThinkPad Battery MaxiMiser and Power Management Features 
      package

    ThinkPad 6xx/7xx :
    - IBM ThinkPad Battery MaxiMiser and Power Management Features

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
