Release Notes 655XX Display Driver Package OS/2(VL-Bus only) Revision: 3.2.3 Release Date: December 22, 1995 ================================ 65545 and 65548 OS/2 DRIVERS NOTE: These drivers function with the 65545 and 65548 controllers(VL-Bus) only. 1. Updated the Windows drivers to be revision compatible with latest Windows 3.11 drivers. 2. Modified the panel detection code in CHIPS.SYS to correctly identify panel types. Added support for 1024x768 panels. 3. Fixed a problem with cursor corruption when running 1024x768x256. 4. Fixed a problem with OS/2 Window and DOS Window AVIO characters getting corrupted when running 1024x768x256. 5. Fixed a problem with incorrect color when drawing AVIO text from LCID_AVIO sets 1-3. Base font was ok. This problem was seen only in MFI fonts. 6. Fixed a problem with CM/2 APL fonts. Enabled multiple AVIO character cache to correctly load multiple LCID_AVIO sets. Previously, only base AVIO font was loaded. Fixed a hang problem during resizing of an open window on the desktop. 4. Implemented new clock routines. 5. Added support for 640x480x16M color. This color and resolutioin will function with 1MB Video Memory only. 6. Updated the Winodws 3.1 drivers. 7. Removed support for the F65530 controllers. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
