Information concerning EPSON CardMonitor(Windows)Ver.1.2

EPSON CardMonitor cautions are described below.
Please read printer's documentation about environment and specification.

[Reinstalling the Software]
If EPSON CardMonitor's operation becomes unstable, uninstall EPSON CardMonitor
once, then reinstall the program.

[Starting or Restarting the Computer with Memory Card Inserted]
EPSON PhotoStarter will not start automatically if you start or restart your
computer while a memory card is inserted.

[Uninstalling EPSON CardMonitor]
If you want to remove EPSON CardMonitor your system, use the Uninstaller from the
Start menu.
If you are using Windows XP, uninstall the software by selecting EPSON CardMonitor
from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
EPSON PhotoStarter and EPSON Photo!4 must be uninstalled before uninstalling
EPSON CardMonitor when EPSON PhotoStarter or EPSON Photo!4 is already installed.
Note that it is not possible to uninstall the software if you do not have
administrator's rights in Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Log in as an administrator
in order to uninstall the software.

[How to stop monitoring of the memory card by EPSON CardMonitor]
For Windows 98, Windows Me, and Windows 2000
If you want to stop memory card monitoring by EPSON CardMonitor, right click the
EPSON CardMonitor icon on the task bar, then select "Stop monitoring of the card
slot", or select "Turn off monitoring" in "Specify memory card slot / PC card
slot to be monitored" in the EPSON PhotoStarter setting assistant.

For Windows XP
EPSON CardMonitor does not perform monitoring. Disable "Startup CardMonitor"
during the operations performed at automatic play in order to prevent the automatic
startup of EPSON CardMonitor.

[Cautions Concerning Memory Card Insertion]
If a memory card is removed and inserted quickly, EPSON CardMonitor may not be
able to detect insertion of the card. In this case, remove and then reinsert the
memory card more slowly.
Note that if you are using Windows 98, Windows Me, or Windows 2000 together with
a PC card reader made by another company, depending on the driver provided with the
product, EPSON CardMonitor may not be able to recognize that the memory card has been
inserted or removed. It may also happen that the operating system is significantly
slowed down. In such case, right-click the icon in the task bar and select [Turn off
monitoring] or [Quit].
