Windows XP Installation Instruction

1. Locate the "uf100xpa.exe" file and double-click on it to unzip or extract the files.
Delete the writing in the "unzip to folder" field.

2. Type in "C:\UF100" into the "Unzip to folder" field, then click on "Unzip".
Note: You can unzip the "uf100.exe" file to any device location you choose, 
but keep in mind you will need to write down tha path where you unzipped 
the files to for later reference.

3. Click OK and then click on the "Close" button.  You now have successfully unzip 
the UF100 driver to "C:\UF100".

4. Turn on your Windows XP laptop, once you have inseted the UF100 into your laptop.
The "Found New Hardware Wizard" window will appear.  Select "Install from a list of
specific location (Advanced)".  Click "Next>".

5. Click on "Search for the best driver in these locations" and check "include
this location in the search:" then in "C:\UF100".  Click "Next".
Note. If you unzipped the "uf100xpa.exe" file to another location, please type in the
correct path or "browse" to the correct path where the unzipped filed are located.

6. You will see the "Hardware Installation" warning message (such as:
USB 10/100 Fast Ethernet has not passed Windows Logo Testing...).  Click the
"Continue Anyway" button to continue.

7. You will see the "Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard".  Click
"Finish" to complete the installation.

8. You will see the following message on your system tray afetr clicking "Finish".

  Found New Hardware
Your new Hardware is installed and ready to use.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
