Driver Installation for Microsoft Windows 95
--------------------------------------------
Getting Started
---------------
Microsoft Windows 95 does not come bundled with the driver for the
adapter. You must go through the following procedure to
install the device driver into the Windows 95 system for the adapter
to function properly.
The Windows 95 CD is needed to complete this installation.
The following example illustrates the installation of the Adapter.
Windows 95OSR2 Installation Procedure
--------------------------------------
It is recommended that you complete the Windows 95 installation prior to
installing the adapter card.
1. Shut down the computer and install the adapter into the the PCI
slot.
2. Start your Windows 95 system normally.
Upon power up, the system will indicate to you that a new PCI
Ethernet Controller has been found.
3. Insert the Installation CD-ROM and click "Next".
It appear "windows found the following updated driver for this device"

4. It appear "type the name of the folder that contains the driver you want"
Please,input " D:\win95" on space
Then,Click "OK"
Click "Finish".
5. Click on OK when asked to insert the Installation CD-ROM labeled
"U.S. Robotics 10/100 PCI NIC TX Disk".
The Installation CD-ROM should still be in the drive since we haven't removed
it.
6. Enter "D:\Win95" and click on OK when prompted for the location of the
"USR79N3.SYS" file.
Windows 95 will search into the Installation CD-ROM for the USR79N3.SYS
file.
7. Click on Yes when asked if we want to restart the system.
8. Remove the Installation CD-ROM when the system
reboots.
Windows 95 Installation Procedure

It is recommended that you complete the Windows 95 installation prior to
installing the adapter card.
1. Shut down the computer and install the adapter into the the PCI
slot.
2. Start your Windows 95 system normally.
Upon power up, the system will indicate to you that New Hardware Found
Table choice " Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacture".
3. Insert the Installation CD-ROM and click "OK".
4. Enter "D:\win95" and click on OK
Windows 95 will search into the Installation CD-ROM for the USR79N3.SYS
file.
5. Click on Yes when asked if we want to restart the system.
6. Remove the Installation CD-ROM when the system
reboots.
Advanced Setup
--------------
The driver configures the adapter card to operate in autosensing
mode by default. In this mode, the card automatically selects the most
appropriate operating speed and duplex mode. There might be instances
when you need to configure the adapter card to operate at a particular
speed and duplex mode. The following procedure guides you into the
Windows 95 system for this setting.
1. In Control Panel, open "Network".
2. Click on the "U.S. Robotics 10/100 PCI NIC TX" selection.
Then, click on the "Properties" button.
3. Click on the "Advanced" memu tab in the adapter card window.
4. Click on the "Link Speed/Duplex Mode" property selection.
5. The "Link Speed/Duplex Mode" windows will show the following possible
selections:
Auto Mode
10Half Mode
10Full Mode
100Half Mode
100Full Mode
Choose the appropriate setting as needed.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
