When adding your Xerox 2230 IJ Plotter under autocad...choose the ENCAD CADJET 2 from the list.
Instructions for Upgrading to HDI 7.18
* Open AutoCAD 2000I or AutoCAD 2002.
* Go into the AutoCAD 2000I or AutoCAD 2002 folder through My Computer or Windows Explorer. By default these folders are installed under Program Files.
* Open the DRV subfolder in the AutoCAD folder.
* Delete these three files:
encad7.hdi
encad7.drc
encad7.hif
* Copy the extracted files into the same DRV subfolder in the AutoCAD folder.
* Open AutoCAD.
* Go into Plotter Manager- Add Plotter Wizard.
* Choose your ENCAD CADJET 2 (Basically its the same as the Xerox 2230 IJ)
* After the install, go into the properties of the .pc3 file.
* Verify that the version number next the encad7.hdi is 7.18.
* Verify that the version number next to the encad7.drc file is 7.18.

If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
