Installing APR component on Windows XP Embedded
===============================================================
Note: This is an XP Embedded component, and must be built into a runtime image utilizing specific tools such as Target Designer. Attempting manual installation by executing "EloSetUp.exe" may result in undesired/unstable operation of the Operating System.
This installation procedure assumes that the user has a good understanding of XP embedded development, and has a fully functional development system. Follow the instructions below to add the Elo touchscreen component to the XP embedded database and target image.
• Import the Elo related "sld" component to your Component Database using Microsoft Component Database Manager.
• Start Microsoft Target Designer.
• Open the target image System Level XML (.slx) file.
• Configure the User Interface
o Navigate to the User Interface Core component
o Modify the settings for the User Interface Core component
o Enable the following Start Menu & Shell attributes in this component:
o Show notifications on the taskbar
o If Elo Users Manual component is not added in the image, the Users Manual link in the Elo Control Panel does not work. As MSN explorer component increases the size of the image significantly it is not added in the default component dependencies.
• In the Component Browser, find the following components and add them to your target image:
"Elo TouchSystems APR Controller"
"Elo Users Manual" (Optional)
• Build your target image.

Release Notes:
===============
- The APR component is intended for Windows XP Embedded only.
- The APR driver does not support multiple monitor setups.
- A touch may not wake the system when in Stand-by power save
mode. Move the mouse or press a key on the keyboard to return
from Stand-by mode. Disable Stand-by mode in the Power
Management control panel to avoid this issue when the USB
touchscreen is your only input device.
- Full Screen DOS sessions are not supported.
- The APR component should be built into a runtime using Target Designer. Manual installation of the driver may produce undesired results.
- The APR driver must not be integrated into a runtime that currently has the XP Universal "XPU" driver installed (AccuTouch, IntelliTouch, CarrollTouch, SurfaceCapacitive driver). XPU must be un-installed before proceeding with the APR driver install. XPU uninstall procedure.
