Hi! Da nun das MSI-K7T266Pro2/-RU auf dem Markt ist, moechte ich als Erstes darauf hinweisen, dasz diese BIOS-Version "NICHT" fuer dieses Board geeignet ist, sondern nur fuer das "alte" MSI-K7T266Pro mit oder ohne RAID-Support. Wenn Du das BIOS auf einem Rechner mit einem existierenden Raid-Verband flasht, binde zuerst die auf meiner Homepage erhältlichen Promise-Treiber über den Windows Gerätemanager für den OnBoard Raid-Controller, ungeachtet der Warnmeldung von Windows ein. Danach das System herunter fahren,BIOS flashen und neu booten. Sollte jemand Probleme unter WindowsXP mit "EVIAN.SYS" haben, diese Datei laut Auskunft vom Promise-Support vom System löschen. Aber hebt Euch auf jeden Fall ein Backup davon auf.... Bei einer kompletten Neuinstallation, kopiere Dir die Treiber auf eine Diskette und binde sie bei der Installtion mit "F6" den Treiber ein. Du kannst dann in Zukunft mehr als ein Raid-Array definieren. Weiters besitzt der Controller die Faehigkeit des "Spannings" und Du kannst die Speicherblockgroesze selbst angeben. WICHTIG! Gilt nur bei Array-Uebernahme aus dem alten Verband: Bei der Angabe einer neuen Speicherblockgroesze als bei Deinem derzeit funktionierenden RAID-Array hast Du aber keinen Zugriff mehr darauf. WICHTIG! Nach dem BIOS flashen auf "jeden" Fall die CMOS-Defaults per Ueberbrueckung des Jumpers auf dem Motherboard setzen. First I´ve to say, that this bios is only for the MSI-K7T266Pro, whatever with or without raidsupport. I don´t recommend to flash it on a MSI-K7T266Pro2. If you flash this bios with a functional raidarray on your promise onboard controller, you first have to apply the drivers for the promise raid provided from my homepage via the device manager, regardless of the warnings from windows. After that reboot your system, flash the bios and restart the system. If someone expirience problems unter WindowsXP with "EVIAN.SYS", just delete this file from your system. This information came from promise support. I recommend to keep a backup of this file. At a fresh os install this doesn´t matter. Just copy the drivers to a floppydisk and push <F6> during os installation and provide the drivers on the disk. You will be able to build more than one array with this fullraid bios. You can use the raidfunction spanning and you can define the clustersize by yourself. ATTENTION! If you change the current clustersize on an existing raid array, you won´t be able to get access at your data. ATTENTION! After you flashed the BIOS set CMOS defaults via the jumper on the motherboard described in your manual. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
