2.0 Installation Notes
------------------------
DECnet PathWork provides a NETSET.EXE program for installing EN2228 PC
Card NDIS drivers. For information on the usage of this program,please
refer to the DECnet installation manual.
Follow the steps:
Step1 Install DECnet PathWork
Select "3Com's Etherlink II card".
Step2
Modify your CONFIG.SYS file to include the following line:
device = c:\decnet\ELNKII.SYS
to
device = c:\decnet\EN2228.DOS
Step3
Add the following line into your CONFIG.SYS file:
device = c:\decnet\ACCOPEN.EXE /IRQ:5 /IOP:300
before
device = c:\decnet\EN2228.DOS
Step4
Modify the following lines in your PROTOCOL.INI file:
[EN2228]
drivername = EN2228$
[IPX4MAC]
:
bindings = EN2228
:
[DATALINK]
:
bindings = EN2228
:
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
