http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Office/7844/faq_rep2ang.htm ------ How do you install the DVSoft codec under Windows 2000? Answer written by : Paul Santos 1. Download the file HOTCONNECT_ULTRA_V20_WIN.EXE from http://www.adaptec.com/support/overview/1394.html 2. Install under Win98 or NT 4.0, (You can skip this step if you have extracted the files listed below) 3. Copy these files to a seperate subdirectory on your Windows 2000 machine: Acodec.dll dvavi.dll Dvc.dll DVcodec.dll dvoutput.dll dvsoft.dll fwcall.dll wnpapi32.dll 4. Create a DVSoft.inf file with this information: ... (see dvsoft.inf) ... 5. Now under Windows 2000, right click on the DVSoft.inf file and choose 'install' 6. Ignore the warning messages about this not being tested under Win2000 and your done. Now Video Studio 3/4, Adobe premiere 5.1 and MediaStudio 5.2 can make use of this codec. This setup works for me, I prefer using Win2k vs Win98 due to stability issues with Win98. For more information see http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Office/7844/anglais1.htmDownload Driver Pack
