profiles.txt Driver File Contents (R126293.EXE)

Profiles.bat included in release R126293 version A12

This batch file removes Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless profiles and settings that
are stored in the application data directory.

*** WARNING! ***

This will result in the loss of user profiles and settings. This batch file
should be used if the Intel PROSet/Wireless utility is unable to connect to an
existing wireless network and gives an error message indicating "profile
database corruption".

*** When would I see this profile database problem in PROSet/Wireless? ***

For home users, this problem can be seen while migrating the harddrive
contents from one computer to another. This would happen if the contents of
specific hidden folders within (C:\Documents and Settings\User_Name
\Application Data\Intel\Wireless) were copied to the new computer. This would
only happen if this directory's contents were moved to the new computer or in
the rare situation where a computer was being replaced, but the entire data
from the old harddrive was used on the replacement computer.

For corporate or IT users, profile database problems could result from roaming
domain users logging into a new computer with a domain policy that pushes the
contents of this hidden folder to the computer.
