The V.90 release of the Courier V.90 modem includes a new Unimodem driver for Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0. The Unimodem driver for Courier V.90 products is MDMCRV90.INF. Also included in this package is an updated Unimodem driver for Courier legacy products, which includes any Courier that does not have V.34 capabilities. The Unimodem driver for Courier legacy products is MDMUSRCR.INF.

If your modem is already listed in your Control Panel, Modems list, you will need to update your INF to support your V.90 modem. Skip to the section of this document titled "Updating your Courier information file to support V.90". If your modem is not listed in Control Panel Modems skip to the section of this document "Installing your Courier information file to support V.90".

NEW FEATURES

The MDMCRV90 information file now allows the selection of the 230,400 bps DTE speed from Windows. You can only use the 230,400 bps speed if you have a 25 MHz Courier V.Everything AND a serial card that supports the 230,400 bps DTE rate. If you use the 230,400 bps speed selection from Windows without meeting the previous two conditions your Courier modem will not function. Please note, most PCs do not support 230,400 bps DTE rate. Consult the documentation that came with your PC or interface card to determine if the 230,400 bps DTE rate is supported.
