A. FEATURES
============
MSP3880 Series Modems are featured to support Voice and SpeakerPhone under
TAPI mode ONLY. It does not support under Non-TAPI mode.

For more information on TAPI, please visit Microsoft Website.

    1.	The SpeakerPhone feature of the V-U/V-W product works with sound card
and TAD connector. A proper TAD cable connects the modem and the sound
        card through the TAD connectors.

    2.	The MSP3880 products support the Answering Machine. Playback of
greeting message will be heard by the remote end. However, unlike the
SP-U/SP-W/SP-A products, the V-U/V-W products can only perform
SpeakerPhone feature when used with a sound card via a TAD connector.
The SP-U/SP-W products can perform this feature stand-alone.

    3.	Playing of recorded messages requires a sound card.

    4.	This product is compatible to any Windows 95 platform. It is not meant
for Windows 3.x and DOS platform.

    5.	This product is compatible to Windows NT 4.0. Modem only supports Data
and Fax capabilities. All voice features are not supported.

    6.	Silent Detection is currently not supported in this release.

    7.	Windows DOS Terminal Emulation is supported. Due to the PCI way of
assigning IRQ to the Modem, please do not use old DOS applications in
WINDOWS 95 DOS Emulation Box. Try to use Up-To-Date DOS applications
such as PROCOMM PLUS - Version 2.0 etc. To setup DOS Box support,
please check the DOS Support Box under Modem Properties for this
        feature.

    8.	MSP3880 Modems are bundled with application software to support user.
To ensure smooth installation, it is required to insert the MSP3880
Installation CD which is followed by a Pop-Up Menu to ease all
   	possible installation.

    9. Microphone Jack
This is for the purpose of connecting the microphone into it. Using
the microphone, you can speak to your friends.

    10.	Line Jack
The line out actually allows you to connect your speaker to it; to
listen to the handshaking sound of the modem. Alternatively, you can
connect the minijack provided from the Line-Out of the modem to the
Line-In of the sound card. In this case, you will only need to connect
the speaker to the sound card.

    11. The minimum system required is a 16MB Pentium 166MHz MMX System.
