NDIS 3.0 Pre-Release Version X.XX
In order to load this driver you must remove all other versions of Aironet 
drivers that have been previously loaded. During the install procedure do 
not use any of the references to any existing Aironet files that may be 
located on the machine.  Always refer to the new driver disk.

For removal of and existing Aironet driver:

1. Click on control panel
2. Click on network
3. Select the adapter card
4. Click on  the remove button
5. Click on yes
6. Click on OK
7. Click on restart  

To Add the new driver:

1. Click on control panel
2. Click on network
3. Click on  the add adapter button
4. Select OTHER (DO NOT use and existing ARLAN 655 from menu)
5. Click on continue
6. Put driver disk in 'A' drive
7. Click on OK
8. Select Arlan 655 from the list
9. Click on OK
10. Set config values for IRQ and memory to match the DIP switches on 
        655 board
11. Set Radio Parameters
        SID
        Channel (for 900MHz 1-11, for 2.4GHz 1-5)
        Datarate (only for 2.4GHz, 1-4 )
        TMA Mode- (On for use with Access Points, Off for Peer to Peer)
12. Click on OK
13. Click on OK
14. When Prompted, enter IP/Sub-net /etc. info
15. Remove Disk and Restart machine

To Reconfigure values after the driver has been installed:

1. Click on control panel
2. Click on network
3. Select the Arlan 655 LAN adapter card
4. Click on  the configure button
5. Click on the Ignore button at the prompt for No Disk in drive
        NOTE: SID and TMA values DO NOT reflect what was actually in unit
6. Change all parameters to desired values
        NOTE: Be certain ALL parameters shown have the proper values. 
        When the driver reloads, all shown values will take effect.
7. Click on OK
8. Click on OK
9. Click on restart machine

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
