See MANIFEST.TXT for a list of delivered files. Please refer to the installation documentation provided with the media supplied with your system. If you are installing an updated driver from the 3Dlabs web site, please do the following: 1. Save the self-extracting .zip file to a temporary directory on the system hard drive. 2. Double-click the self-extracting zip file to unzip the driver files. These driver files are compressed and will be expanded during the installation process. NOTE: When re-installing Windows XP with a Wildcat Pro card installed in the system, the "Found New Hardware" dialog/wizard will not come up after the final boot into Windows XP. You must install the driver. Simply run the setup.exe program located with the Wildcat driver software, then reboot the system. The setup.exe program will install the driver for you. WINDOWS XP PLUG AND PLAY -------------------------- For driver installation and removal, refer to the Hardware section of the Windows XP online help. This Help is generally available by clicking on "Start" at the bottom left of the screen, and selecting the Help entry from the menu. Automated Installation Help =========================== NOTES: Make sure you have Windows XP Administrator privileges and write permission on the target machine, as the automated installation will create temporary directories on its hard drive. If you are installing a non-WHQL certified driver, you must set your Driver Signing Options to "Ignore" in order to prevent Windows XP from displaying a warning dialog. 1. Create an installation directory on your hard drive and then copy all installation files from the WCGDRV directory into your newly created directory on the hard drive. 2. Modify the setup.ini file to meet your specifications. 3. Run setup.exe. 4. Reboot the system. Unattended Installation Help ============================ To install the Wildcat Display driver as part of an unattended installation of Windows XP, execute the following steps. 1. Copy all driver files to a single directory in the $OEM$\$1\ path of the distribution directory (ex. d:\winXPdst\ia64\$oem$\$1\wcgdrv). 2. Add the following sections to the unattend.txt file: [Unattended] OemPreinstall = yes OemPnPDriversPath = "wcgdrv" [Display] BitsPerPel = 32 XResolution = 1024 YResolution = 768 VRefresh = 75 3. Execute the unattended installation. NOTE: To bypass the digital signing check for a non-WHQL version of the driver, add the following entries to the unattend.txt file: [Unattended] DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore New Features ============ Fixes ===== 05.05.03.13 - Fix for multiple failures in WHQL DCT's "texturestage.exe" (Dx8) test. - Fixed a blue screen problem. 06.05.03.12 - Enhanced the DDR texture memory strobe calibration. 06.05.03.11 - Fixed a multiscreen texture corruption problem on 5110 board (TR1892). - Corrected word in Japanese resource file in the Wizard Texture Memory Management page. - Fixed bug not allowing the Wildcat 4110 to perform SuperScene Antialiasing. - Fixed bug to not allow pixel buffers creation when configured for forced SuperScene. - Fixed a multitexture corruption problem in GLmark (TR 1864, conveyer) - Fixed a bug in applications that use texture coordinate generation and/or texture transform operations. 06.05.03.10 - Fixed a D3D driver hang in 3DMark2001. - Fixed a 3DMark2001 hang that occurs on a P3 system during the Dragothic High-Detail Benchmark. - Fixed a multitexturing problem with GL_REPEAT wrapping mode. 06.05.03.09 - Fixed hang occurring with WGL_swap_frame_usage functions. - Fixed a Wildcat display properties problem where configuration buttons were disabled. - Fixed a problem where the overlay layer palette was not realized on both screens on dual screen platforms. - Fixed a hang when running viewperf on a system with four CPUs. 06.05.03.08 - Fixed a problem in the trueSpace4 D3D benchmark where objects being moved were surrounded by a black box (TR 1700). - Added Avid|DS to the Display Properties Configuration Wizard configurations. - Fixed handling of negative coordinates for some vertex array paths.
