------------------------

Silent Install Option

QuickSet is installed via an InstallShield installation program and thus has the ability to be "silently" installed through the "-S" command-line switch. QuickSet includes an .ISS file in the distribution package for customers who wish to perform silent installs. Example: "SETUP.EXE -S".

Custom Installation

QuickSet can be installed with a subset of features by choosing the "Custom" Setup type and then selecting only those features you require. For silent installation, a custom .ISS can be generated by using the "-R" command-line switch. This option will launch Setup, allow you to choose your preferred installation options, and will store your selections in a new SETUP.ISS, created inside the system's Windows folder. You may then replace the SETUP.ISS file included with the distribution package with the new customized version and use it to repeat that installation on other machines. Example: "SETUP.EXE -R".

Power Management Schemes for Limited Users

By default, Microsoft Windows does not allow Limited Users to add or modify Power Schemes. System administrators can request QuickSet to give this capability to Limited Users by using the switch "LIMUSER". Example: "SETUP.EXE LIMUSER" Using the switch will allow all users, Administrator as well as Limited User accounts, to use QuickSet Power Schemes.
