How do I create a DOS Hard Drive BOOTDISK? Answer: Please follow the steps below in order to create one. 1. You will need to create a bootable floppy disk. From the DOS prompt type in (you will need to do this on a win95 or win98 machine) A: Type (Format a:/s) or B: from Windows (open the my computer icon then right click on the floppy drive A then click format to open another window. when the new window opens up, choose the quick format or the full format. then click on the BOX that says copy system files. 2.
