D-Link DE-650 Ethernet PC Card Installation for Windows for Workgroup 3.11 Introduction ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ This installation assumes that the PCMCIA drivers are working properly. Getting Started will describe the installation instructions. Getting Started ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ Note: The WFW 3.11 driver comply to NDIS 3.0 specs. The PCMCIA adapter must be enable by the DCD16.EXE which contains in the root directory of the driver diskette. Add one line to config.sys using text editor. DEVICE=C:\DCD16.EXE /iop:300 /irq:11 At DOS Prompt, type WIN to enter the windows system. Click the "Network" icon from the "Main" Group. Windows for Workgroups will present a list of all available Drivers. Select UNLIST for third-party adapters not included in the list. Windows for Workgroups will ask for the path where the adapter drivers reside. Insert the driver diskette in Drive A, and then type the following A:\WFW311 Windows for Workgroups will check whether or not the OEMSETUP.INF file exists in the specified path. If the file exists, Windows for Workgroups will then copy the appropriate drivers into the Windows for Workgroups system. The driver is now properly copied. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
