SuperStep(R) Version v1.40 README
=================================

SuperStep is an utility allows user to change the frequence of CPU.
It also display system health which including FAN speed, temperature,
  voltage and PCI clock.

For a list of changes in this version, see the file ReleaseNote.txt.

------------------------------
1. Requirement of SuperStep(R)
------------------------------

  1.1 H/W Requirement:

      * Every 1MHz scale of CPU clock can be tuned for over-clock.
      * Special design in clock generator and CPU temperature sensor on MB.

  1.2 S/W Requirement:

      * Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME

-----------------------------------------
2. Features and Functions of SuperStep(R)
-----------------------------------------

 2.1. FAN

      * Retrieve the low limit and current RPM (Round Per Minute) of on-board FANs.
It includes CPU FAN, system FAN1 and system FAN2.
      * Users can also set the low limit FAN RPM for alarm. When set the RPM low limit value
        to a positive integer and enable the alarm setting, the alarm function is enabled;
Valid range of this setting is from 1 to 6000.
      * The load default function sets the low limit values of the FAN to the default settings.

  2.2 Voltage

      * Read the 9 voltages, the voltages and value ranges are listed as followings:

	VCoreA: 1.00V ~ 4.00V
	VCoreB: 1.00V ~ 3.00V
	+3.3V : 2.00V ~ 4.00V
	+5V : 4.00V ~ 6.00V
	+12V : 10.00V ~ 14.00V
	-12V : -14.00V ~ -10.00V
	-5V : -6.00V ~ -4.00V
	5VSB : 4.00V ~ 6.00V
	VBAT : 1.00V ~ 4.00V
      * Users can set the high and low limit voltage for alarm. When set the high and low limit at the valid range
and enable the alarm setting, the alarm function is enabled.
      * Load default function sets the high and low limit values of the 9 voltages to the default settings.

  2.3.	Temperature

      * Retrieve the high/low limit and current temperatures of the CPU and system.
      * Users can also set the high limit temperatures for alarm. When set the temperatures high limit value
to a positive integer and enable the alarm setting, the alarm function is enabled; Valid range of this
setting is from 1 to 99.
      * The load default function sets the high limit values of the temperature to the default settings.

  2.4.	Clock
      * Retrieve the CPU main frequency, memory frequency, AGP frequncy, FSB(Front Side Bus) and ratio.
      * Users can set the FSB and Ratio to change the frequency of CPU. Valid range of FSB setting is depending on CPU type.
      * Load default function sets FSB and Ratio to the standard value according M/B.

  2.5.	Setting
      * Set alarm function and alarm interval time. When item checked, the alarm function of the corresponding
item is enabled, otherwise (item unchecked) the alarm function is disabled.
      * Load default function sets all alarm function disabled and sets the interval time to 2 seconds.

-----------------------------
3. Limitation of SuperStep(R)
-----------------------------
