This diskette contains driver programs to allow you to run various network OS with the AF-680 Fast Ethernet PC Card. Each of the following directories contains a INSTALL.DOC which provides you with detailed instructions to install the drive programs. ********** * Note * ********** DOS Environment When user installed AF-680 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet PC Card under DOS environments. you have to enable the card by the ENABLER(EN680.EXE). The enable program is responsible for activating the PC Card(PCMCIA) controller and ask for the system resources (such as I/O ports, IRQ channel and memory space) from the O.S. The enabler can activate AF-680 with or without the card Services to let you enable the AF-680 easily. If the user is trying to activate AF-680 under DOS operation system. Please remember to execute en680.exe before execute its driver. Windows Environments For Windows 95/98 and Windows NT3.51/4.0 users, there is not necessary to execute ENABLER. Because Windows environment have provided Plug and Play feature and enable the AF-680 PC Card automatically. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
