      How to install Microsoft Client with NDIS2 Driver AF680.DOS
     =====================================================================

* Before beginning, you must install Card Services and Socket Services of
DOS. You must execute the Enabler program (EN680.exe) first.

* Please follow the procedure below to setup Microsoft Client. LAN
Requesters:

   1. When installation program asks for a network drivers,
      select "Add Network Adapter". (C:\net\setup.exe)

   2. Insert "AF-680 Fast Etherent Driver" diskette into drive A:

   3. Type "A:\NDIS2\DOS" and press <Enter>. "AF-680 10/100..."
      will appear at Network Adapter list box.

   4. Select "AF-680 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet..." and ADD it.

   5. ADD the protocol you desired.

   6. Follow the direction to finish the setup procedure.

   7. Before restarting your system, please modify Autoexec.bat and
      Config.sys if using any memory management (EMM386, QEMM etc.).
      The user has to exclude a memory block for PC card as mentioned above.

    PS. Please reference the sample file for Autoexec.bat and config.sys:

Note:
   If "Cannot bind the Network Adapter Driver". Please check the
   setting of IOBASE and INTERRUPT. Compare the values of Enabler Card
   with the file content in Protocol.ini

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
