Installation Guide for DOS LAN Requester of LAN Server 2.0/3.0 ================================================================ Introduction ============ This document describes the procedure to install NDIS driver on DOS LAN Requester for AF-680 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet PC Card. These drivers conform to the Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS 2.01) defined by Microsoft/3Com. Location of Driver: NDIS2\DOS\AF680.DOS Installation Procedure ====================== A. Installing driver for DOS LAN Requester of LAN Server 2.0/3.0 : --------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Insert the IBM LAN Support Program (LSP) Version 1.30 (or 1.31) Diskette into your floppy drive A: . 2. Type A:\dxmaid and press <Enter> . 3. It will you the IBM logo and then press <Enter> twice until the "Environment Information" appears on screen. 4. Respond to the screen prompts, specify the following values for each field it showed and use the <Space Bar> to toggle between choices: Configuration for this computer? Yes Use existing configuration information? Yes Do you have adapter option diskettes? Yes Are you configuring for two adapters? No Do you need 802.2 interface support? Yes Source for LSP A:\ Target for new configuration C:\lsp Ps. Please make sure the values are correct, then press <Enter> to store your choices. 5. Insert the driver diskette in floppy A, and specify your pathname A:\NDIS2\DOS, then press ENTER. 6. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the process and press <Enter> for each screen display to select the default options. Press <Enter> until you the display tells you to insert the LSP diskette. 7. Insert the LSP diskette and press <Enter> to acknowledge the completion of the instruction. 8. A screen prompt is showing the current configuration and it should show you that the adapter and the protocols are already selected (i.e., "IBM IEEE 802.2" and "IBM OS/2 NETBIOS"). 9. Please press <F4> to save the new configurations. This step will complete the LSP installation. 10. Save the configurations, remove all disks in floppy drive, and reboot your system. 11. Insert the DOS LAN Requester Install Diskette 1 into your floppy drive. 12. Type A:\INSTALL <Enter> to proceed installation. 13. The IBM logo will appear on the screen again and then press <Enter> to move on to the next screen. 14. Follow instructions on screen and press <Enter> to move from screen to screen until you are prompted to specify the pathname in which DOS LAN Requester directory (C:\DOSLAN ) resides. 15. Specify the pathname (C:\DOSLAN is the default) for the DOS LAN Requester directory then press <Enter> to continue. 16. The program will ask you for the services that you require. 17. Highlight the appropriate option and select either "Send messages" or "Send, View, Edit, and Log message" option. (Normally, the second option "Send, View, Edit and Log message" will be selected). 18. Specify the PC's ID and domain ID. 19. Follow screen prompts to complete the installation. PS. The version of DOS system must be less than DOS 5.0 when installing DOS LAN requester into your DOS system. B. Installing driver for DOS LAN Requester of LAN Server 4.0 : ----------------------------------------------------------- Before starting with the installation process, please make sure that DOS LAN Services is properly installed. Similarly, your adapter should also be properly installed in your client PC. 1. Copy AF680.DOS from your Driver diskette (A:\NDIS2\DOS) to DOS LAN Services subdirectory C:\DLS . 2. Under DOS LAN Requester subdirectory C:\DLS, run INSTALL. 3. The screen displays some descriptions. If it's correct, move highlight to "The listed options are correct" item and then press ENTER. 4. Move highlight to "Network Card", then press ENTER. 5. Select "Change driver for network card." item, then press ENTER. 6. Select "Network card not shown in list below..", then press ENTER. 7. Insert the driver diskette in floppy A and specify the pathname A:\NDIS2\DOS, then press ENTER. 8. Network driver is now installed into your computer and please reboot the computer.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
