READ ME.txt Driver File Contents (PlayTV_Pro_driver_patch_for_XP.zip)

If you have got the Pixelview PlayTV Pro (rev. 9D) card and you' ve got sound problems on XP, then you are in the right place.

I got mine and tried to install the drivers. Unfortunately, I installed the wrong ones (not for XP) from the CD and the problems began. Although I had the video correct, the audio played for a minute or so and then stopped. When I changed the channel, it started again and after a while it stopped again. I tried to install other drivers, but the problem continued.

It took me about 2 weeks of testing, to realise that the problem was the inappropriate drivers that I had initially installed. The crazy thing was that although I uninstalled the old ones and installed the correct ones, windows kept using the first drivers and the problem continued for ever.

The solution is to replace the files that windows XP are using to drive the card, with the correct ones from a system that has the correct drivers. I got the files and made a batch file to make installing them, easier for you. The old drivers must be installed on the system before you run the batch file.

I hope this file will help someone how has the same problem with me. I lost countless hours because Prolink couldn't make a descent CD with descent drivers. I still don't know if the CD has the correct drivers for XP. Even in their site, in early April, for the Pixelview PlayTV Pro revision 9D for XP, they had the 9.01b station program (guess what, wrong drivers) which they changed after some time for the 5.23 station program! This is the only that has the correct BT drivers.
Mercy!
