This diskette contains the following files:

-INF files used by Windows95 and Windows NT 4.0
-ATCMDS.DOC ... AT commands in Word 6.0 format
-ATCMDS.TXT ... AT commands in text format
-ATCMDS.WRI ... AT commands in write format
-README.TXT ... this readme file

Note: all ATCMDS files contain the same information.

When installing service packs, be sure to obtain the latest versions before 
installing.

o  Disabling IBM Internal Modem

If you are using an IBM Thinkpad that has an internal modem,
you may have to disable it in order to use your PCMCIA Modem card.
To do this go to ThinkPad Features and disable the internal modem.

o Modem not responding to AT commands

If your modem is not responding to commands, you may reset the modem
by removing it and reinserting the modem. this will reset the modem to it's
default values.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
