Windows Millennium Setup

(1)  Start up your computer.  After Windows Millennium is up and running,
     put the driver disk of USB Fast Ethernet Adapter into drive A:.

(2)  Insert the cable's square B-type plug into the adapter's B-type
     port.

(3)  Insert the other end of the USB cable (the A-type connector) into
     the USB port on your PC. The adapter is now connected to your PC.

(4)  Connect your adapter to a 10Mbps or 10Mbps/100Mbps auto-sensing
     hub using Category 5 UTP RJ-45 straight-through cabling. The RJ-45
     jacks should fit into the RJ-45 port on both the adapter and the
     hub.

(5)  When the Add New Hardware Wizard window appears, click on the
     "Specify the location of the driver" and click "Next" button.

(6)  Click "Specify a location" and type "A:\" and click the "Next" button.

(7)  Windows Millennium will check the disk that is in the floppy drive
     for the USB Fast Ethernet Card network driver.

(8)  When the Fast Ethernet Adapter message appears,
     click the "Next" button.  Windows Millennium will begin copying files.

(9)  You may be asked to supply your original Windows Millennium CD-ROM.

(10) Click the "Finish" button.

(11) Restart the computer

(12) Go to Control Panel and select the "network" icon.

(13) Add the Client, Protocol or Services you needed.

(14) Restart the Computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
