SCSI DVD-303S, DVD-U03S FIRMWARE UPGRADE Version:  2.0
This upgrade should NOT be applied to any other model DVD-ROM drive.

PROCEDURE
1. Set the SCSI ID on the drive to ID=0
    Turn ON the PC.
    Edit your Config.sys file to include an ASPI manager for the SCSI card so this loades when the system is in DOS mode.
    Re-Boot the PC
2. If Windows 95/98 is used, quit Windows mode and re-boot into MS-DOS mode by selecting the Start menu on Windows 95/98.
3. Make sure there is no disc in the drive unit  before the  firmware upgrade is executed.
4. Execute the UP303.BAT file.
5. The current version number of the firmware will be shown and the new firmware will be uploaded.
6. When the DOS prompt returns reboot the computer by powering OFF then ON.

Do not turn OFF the PC while upgrade is executed or the firmware upgrade will fail. Retry upgrade procedure from 4 through 6 if the firmware upgrade is fails.
Apply power cycle (OFF/ON) if the firmware upgrade fails.

IMPORTANT:
The upgrade will not function and permanent failure of the drive could occur unless the drive is connected as per point 1.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
