Driver Installation for MS Network Client for DOS and Windows ============================================================= Driver Location --------------- \NIDS.DOS Driver Installation ------------------- To install the driver, follow these steps: 1. Insert Disk 1 of the MS Network Client for DOS and Windows into drive A:. 2. Run setup.exe. 3. Follow the on-screen menu until the program prompts you to enter the destination directory for the installation on your hard disk. C:\NET is the default direcotry. 4. Continue the installation until an adapter list appears. Select <Network Adapter not shown on list below ...> from the list. 5. Insert the adapter's driver diskette into drive A:. 6. Specify the path where the driver is located. Enter A:\NDIS.DOS 7. Select one model that matches your adapter for the installation. 8. Since the KF-221FX is a Plug and Play PCI adapter, no other settings are required. 9. Follow the on-screen menu to complete the installation. 10. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
