If the PacketLoader is 1394(Firewire), you will see a device with the name of "Exabyte VXA 1x10 1U" in the "Other devices" category. 5. Right click the device and click Properties. 6. Click the Driver tab on the properties dialog and click "Update Driver..." button. 7. The Upgrade Device Driver Wizard appears. Click Next. 8. Choose the second radio button, which says "Display a list of known drivers so that I can choose a specific driver". Click Next. 9. If the PacketLoader is 1394 (Firewire), the Hardware Type window will be displayed. Select "Other Devices" from the hardware type list, and click the Next button to continue. If the PacketLoader is SCSI, the Hardware Type window will not be displayed. 10. At the "Select a Device Driver" window, click the HAVE DISK button. 11. At the "Install from Disk" window, click the BROWSE button. 12. At the "Locate File" window, browse to the directory where you have downloaded and extracted the driver. Select the OPEN button and the OK button to confirm the directory path. 13. At the "Select a Device Driver" window, select the PacketLoader product name from the list shown. Click the NEXT button. 14. An "Update Driver Warning" may be displayed. If it is, select the YES button to continue. 15. At the "Start Device Driver Installation" window, click the NEXT button to continue with driver installation. Then click on the FINISH button to close the wizard. 16. I will choose the driver to install." Click Next. 9. At the "Select a Device Driver" window, click the HAVE DISK button. 10. At the "Install from Disk" window, click the BROWSE button. 11. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
