This README file explains how to install the Virtual Cable Tester(TM) Package on a machine running Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and 64-bit extended Windows. NOTE: The Marvell Virtual Cable Tester(TM) can only be used with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and 64-bit extended Windows. 2 Required Files ================= To install the Marvell Virtual Cable Tester(TM), the following file is required: SetupVCTwin.exe 3 Installation Instructions ============================ NOTE: To install the Marvell Virtual Cable Tester(TM) make sure that you are logged in as a user with administrative rights. To install the Marvell Virtual Cable Tester(TM), proceed as follows: 1. Execute the setup file SetupVCTwin.exe. 2. Follow the instructions of the installation procedure. *** 4 Troubleshooting ================== If you should encounter any problems with your Marvell Virtual Cable Tester(TM) Package, please re-read the instructions above and the documentation supplied with the operating system carefully. Additionally refer to your system event log file (using the Event Viewer) and check it for entries from Marvell Virtual Cable Tester(TM). After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
