Supported platforms The following platforms are supported in this release: - Windows 2000 - Windows XP The software is not compatible with Windows ME, NT, 98 SE or earlier, and will refuse to install on these systems. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Installation 2.1 First Time Installation If this is the first time that a TrueMobile 5100 Tri-band GPRS PC Card will be used with the computer, the PC card should NOT be inserted until after the Setup.exe program has completed. 1. Run D:\Setup.exe where D: is your CD-ROM drive 2. Insert the TrueMobile 5100 GPRS PC card, wait for driver to be automatically installed 3. Start the TrueMobile GPRS Manager using the icon on the Desktop or Start > Programs > Dell TrueMobile 5100 > TrueMobile GPRS Manager 4. Use the Wizard to define a connection 2.2 Upgrade Installation or Re-installation The installer will upgrade a previous version of the application and drivers. It does not matter whether the PC card is inserted or ejected during the upgrade. However, the New Hardware Wizard will run again the next time the card is detected. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Known Issues 3.1 Note that it is normal for the New Hardware Wizard to run twice during this install - once for the Modem driver and again for the GPRS Network adaptor.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
