Where filename is the name of the self-extracting executable. To build the diskette, extract this package into a temporary directory, then execute the package, directing it's output to an empty formatted diskette. Installation Instructions ========================= This program creates a diskette that contains a Dos management application for the PERC 3, CERC and PERC 4 RAID controllers. You will need a formatted 3 1/2 inch floppy diskette for the following procedure. 1) Download the file to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self extracting executable. 2) Install the formatted floppy diskette into the floppy drive. 3) Double click on the file, <filename>.exe, on your hard drive to run the executable and to extract files to the floppy. 4) To execute this application, boot your server to Dos and then install the floppy that contains the application into the floppy drive. 5) Type dellconf at the command prompt. Fixes or Enhancements ======================= Changes from 5.29 ================= 1.The utility gives the user the option to view ongoing Initialization and Check Consistency activity. 2.The diagnostic code was using hard coded memory allocation for its use and thus causing the system lockup on exit. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
