Introduction This E772p.INF file is a digitally signed driver that supports the following Dell monitor in Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP, windows(R) Millennium(R), Windows(R) 2000 and Windows(R) 98 operating systems: Dell E772p Installation Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Operating System To manually install or update the driver, perform the following steps: 1. Click Start-> Control Panel-> and then double-click Display icon. 2. In the Display Properties window, click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced. 3. Click the Monitor tab, and then click Properties -> Driver tab -> Update Driver. 4. When the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box appears, choose “Install from a list or specific location" and then click NEXT. 5. Check the "Include this location in the search" box. 6. Type the path to the location where the driver files were extracted (most likely C:\Dell\Drivers\E772p) or use the browse button to select the location. 7. Click Next -> Finish to complete the installation. Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Millennium Operating System To manually install or update the driver, perform the following steps: 1. Click Start--> Settings--> Control Panel and then double-click Display. 2. In the Display Properties window, click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced. 3. Click the Monitor tab, and then click Change--> Specify the location of the driver-->Next. 4. When the Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box appears, select "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want," and click Next-->. 5. Type the location in the Copy manufacturer's files from: box where the driver files were extracted (most likely C:\Dell \Drivers\E772p) and then click "OK". 6. Click Next-->, Next-->, and then Finish to complete the installation. 7. Close the Display Properties window. Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000 Operating System To manually install or update the driver, perform the following steps: 1. Click Start--> Settings--> Control Panel and then double-click Display. 2. In the Display Properties window, click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced. 3. Click the Monitor tab, and then click Properties--> Driver--> Update Driver. 4. When the Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box appears, click "NEXT". 5. Choose "Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver" then click "NEXT". 6. Click "Have Disk" tab. 7. Type in or select from the "Browse" option the location of the driver files (most likely C:\Dell\Drivers\E772p) and then click "OK". 8. Select the appropriate model of your monitor then click "NEXT" NOTE: For some flat panel monitors a choice for "Analog" or "Digital" will appear. Choose based on the video cable that is connected to your PC. 9. Click "NEXT" to install driver. 10. Click "FINISH" to complete installation. Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 98 Operating System To manually install or update the driver, perform the following steps: 1. Click Start--> Settings--> Control Panel and then double-click Display. 2. In the Display Properties window, click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced. 3. Click the Monitor tab, and then click Change. 4. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
